The mixing valve was broken and got fixed this morning. If it happens again, the procedure is to call zone 2 maintenance, they can't fix it but they know who to contact...

chilling water not working

chilling water is out again. the construction guys say it's because UT chilling water pressure is low (50PSI, 70 is normal) so the booster pump brings it up to only 75PSI. I called zone 2 maintenance 1-0043.

Neslab chillers-new regulators

New regulators for the 2 Neslab chillers were put in this morning. I have been running the MIRA for 4 hours now and it seems to be very stable. Temperature is at 18C, pressure just below 80PSI. Everything seems to be fine now.

Neslab chiller again^2...

As now the 2 Neslabs are connected to the booster pump water supply, Robert and I tested them yesterday. It worked well for Yong's Chiller, and it worked well in the morning for the other one, but in the afternoon, the outgoing pressure of the other chiller became higher and higher and the chilling water temperature got higher. This morning, I tried the chiller again, so far so good.

Neslab chiller again...

The 2 Neslabs are connected to the house water lines again...as it was before construction started. Everything seems to be working now. Pressure in the house water fluctuates from 65 to 70psi. Once the problem with the booster pump is fixed they will reconnect us to it...

Neslab chillers not working

The 2 Neslab chillers are still not working. it seems pressure is too high now and it doesn't seem to make a difference whether the booster pump is on or not. we need to check with the construction people again tomorrow.

Please Don't take any components away from my XP2-SHG setup

As I am doing single-beam experiment right now, I put my 2-beam setup near the laser away from my experiment zone on the optical table . It doesn't mean I don't need it any more. I need to work on the 2-beam setup sooner or later, in the end. So, please, don't take any components from my setup. Thanks!
